Anyone familiar with the Bahamas? |
Travel Info I need to know how long it takes to get from Nassau to Freeport. I want to visit Freeport but also have friends in Nassau who I want to see. What is the best way to do this? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks! Travel Tips Since I take it you wont have that much time the best way would be by plane. The National airline BAHAMASAIR has almost hourly flights between the two islands. Grand Bahamas, the island where Freeport is located, is in the north. The island of New Providence,where Nassau is located, is in teh central Bahamas. There are also serval other charter companies that run that route. (They are called "charter" but you can book travel on them as an individual as well). The most notable one is SKY UNLIMITED. When you arrive in Freeport and have cleared customs and immigration, just can go the domestic terminal (car or cab) and book then. Or it might be more convienent to book from your hotel. The fligth shoudl take only about 35 minutes TOPS !!! Source(s): MY BRAIN!!! Other Travel Tips I just got back from a cruise to the Bahamas - Nassau and freeport are about 125 miles apart. |
