Travel Info Are online vacation booking sites like orbitz or travelocity safe sites to use and do they really save you $$ vs calling a travel agent? Travel Tips When my boyfriend and I went to Hawaii last year we did all the planning ourselves. We were able to choose where we wanted to stay and were open to several different options, as far as flights go. I believed I used Travelocity to book the flight, and their security is up to par. Ultimately it just depends on whether or not you want to organize your vacation or feel more comfortable just having someone else organize it for you. Personally, I think it's better to do it yourself but I can't really tell you if it would save you money versus calling a travel agent. Others Yes, the booking sites are safe. Do they save you $$$ vs a travel agent, very rarely. I AM a travel agent & have never had an online booking agency beat my prices. Often the prices are close but using a TA will usually get you a better flight, room category, etc & save you a few $$. Hope this helps! :) |
