Which cruise line is the best for a young single couple? |
Travel Info My girlfriend and I are looking into booking a cruise in late April or early May. We want to leave out of Orlando and sail to the Bahamas. Which cruise line is the best to go with? I'm looking at Royal Carribean and Carnival but I don't know which one is better for us. We are two young adults under 32 and we don't want to be around a million kids. we want to have a romantic getaway.....anybody have any info on these cruise lines? Travel Tips Carnival all the way, I love them, if you go to a higher category like Princess you will find most are not in your age group. =) Others the carival a great cruise, younger people, less kids Carnival without question. Royal Carribean is more for married couples and older (> 35) people. I think you will have the best time on a Carnival cruise. Much more choices. http://www.carnival.com Have a great trip. I was 6 months pregnant when I went on a cruise out of Orlando to the Bahamas - go to an adults only all-inclusive resort instead - the cruise was horrible (although it took away my morning sickness) - way too many kids (and we went in November thinking kids would be in school!) There are PLENTY of really romantic ADULTS only all-inclusive resorts that you could look into and would be about the same cost as a cruise (maybe even a little less by the time you pay for everything on the cruise ship that is not included - like drinks, pop, juice, any excursions off the ship......) Good luck!!! Carnival is more geared to being young and fun, lots of games and parties, but I would consider Royal Caribbean overall more romantic. Also keep in mind the size of ships - they are huge! No matter what ship you take you wil be able to find some quiet, romantic locations. If you are looking to avoid children and your cruise ship has different dinner seatings, pick one as late as possible, by then most of the kiddies will be in bed and you can enjoy a quiet romantic dinner. I would suggest the Carnival Cruise lines. I just got back from a cruise on Royal Caribbean and although there were minimal children, the crowd was older (55+). In comparing the two I felt that Carnival was more exciting. The personality of the staff on the Carnival was also better. I don't know your personality but that is just some of the differences I noticed. RC = Older crowd, higher class, less energy. Carnival = "the fun ship" some kids, upbeat people, 30 somethings Just my opinion. Honestly, it's hard not to have fun on either one. The islands are AMAZING!!!! |
