Travel Info Hi, I applied and got my passport in chennai in the year 2000, ENCR stamping was not done,now im in bangalore,in urgent need of ECNR stamping now should i go to chennai for that or can that be done in bangalore ? if so what r the documents needed for that? Application Form To apply for ECNR stamp in the passport, the applicant is required to fill a Miscellaneous Application form (Form No. 2). The application form is available at the Passport Office at a cost of Rs.5/-. The duly filled-in application form may be submitted personally or through a representative (having authority letter duly signed by the applicant as per Annexure 'L') or by registered post. Application Fee An all inclusive fee of Rs.300/- is to be paid along with the application form either in cash or by bank draft drawn in favour of Passport Officer, (of your respective Regional Office or to the office of issue). In case of bank draft, full name of the applicant and application number should be written on the reverse of the bank draft. Applicants Entitled for ECNR Stamp : This list is prepared by the Ministry of Labour. (a) Persons going abroad in managerial campacity in Hotels/Restaurants, Tea-Houses or other places of Public resort etc. possessing specialised degrees in these fields. (b) All gazetted Government servants. (c) All Income-Tax payers (including agricultural Income-Tax Payees) in their individual capacity. Proof of assessment to Income-Tax and actual payment of income tax for last three years to be insisted upon, and not merely payment of advance tax. (d) All Professional Degree holders, such as doctors holding M.B.B.S. Degree in Ayurved, or Homoeopathy, accredited Journalists, Engineers, Chartered Accountants, Cost Accountants, Lecturers, Teachers, Scientists, etc. (e) Spouses and dependent children upto the age of 24 years of category of persons listed from (b) to (d). (f) All persons who have been staying abroad for more than three years (the period of the three years could be either at a stretch or broken) and spouses and children upto the age of 24 years of such persons.
