Is it easy to find nappies, baby-food for 5 month old in Barbados (west coast) as a tourist. Any advice? |
Travel Info I am travelling to Barbados in May with a 6 year old and a 5 month old baby. I want to limit baby paraphenalia when travelling so wondering about supermarkets, range of baby-food, nappies etc on the island. Can I use any bottled water to make up feeds?? Any advice gladly accepted Travel Tips Well, I have babies, lol, and I lived here all my life. Realistically, and I say this with confidence, all the major US and UK brands are available all over the island. Jordans supermarket and Supercentre in Sunset Crest will have Pampers, Huggies and Luvs, and other brands. You can get Avent bottles, Gerber cereals and foods. Johnson's powder and baby bath are there too. Yes, you can use any bottled water, but if you boil the local water that is COMPLETELY safe. We have one of the safest and healthiest water supply in the caribbean. The only thing I would make an effort to walk with is diapers because they are VERY expensive here in Barbados compared to the States. While in the states a whole CASE of diapers may cost $25 US, here in Barbados it costs arounds $20 US just for ONE pack of 26 diapers. I hope this helps! Safe travels! |
