Advice on Barbados!?

I am going to BArbados with work on Thursday, and was wondering if anyone knew what the currency is out there/. And also wondering what plug sockets they use, the same as the states or the UK? Thanks for your help x

I had brought my hair straightener and it works fine in Barbados, but then again, I was coming from Canada.

So I'd say it'd be the same as the States. Currency here is Barbadian dollars. My brother had brought Canadian travellers cheques and got them cashed at the bank. They also accept U.S. dollars but I'd be careful with that as they may go along with it as it may not be actually worth the price as you thought.

People are very friendly.

If you get some spare time from work, you should do some sightseeing such as Harrison's Cove, Altantis Submarine... You can also check out Animal Flower Cave, Barbados Wildlife Reserve..

If you like cricket, they have a final on the 28th of this month. Do check out Kensisngton Oval (sp?).

If you're into golf, you can check out Barbados Golf Club where it's in Christ Church. http://www.barbadosgolfclub.com/... .

For shopping, do check out its capital, Bridgetown. They have duty-free shopping on shoes, jewellery, so on. Check: Harrison's (sp?), DaCosta Mall, Cave Shepherd.
