Have you ever travelled to the Carribean Island Barbados? |
Travel Info If you did, tell me how was your stay there. In your opion how is the island? Travel Tips I've been many times. I always have a wonderful experience. You can do the tourist stuff by visiting Harrison's Caves, the rum tours, Jolly Roger, catamarans...or you can lay on the beach, do watersports, hit up the local rum shops. There are a number of restaurants to experience, clubs that cater to whichever scene you are into (ie. reggae, pop, mixture). The island doesn't have as many hills as some of the other places, but you can visit Barbados at various times in the year and have something to do. The crime is relatively low in comparison to Jamaica and Trinidad. Getting around is easy (whether you choose to use public transportation, taxi, or car rental). Barbados has a Jazz Festival, Reggae On The Hill, Cropover, Holetown Festival, Oistins Fish Festival, etc. You can visit other islands from Barbados via short flights (it's usually the main stop for those wishing to reach St. Vincent). There are places to stay that match any budget. While it is a bit expensive when it comes to shopping, I find the prices reasonable if you enjoy the nightlife. I've visited many islands and Barbados is at the top of my list. Anyone who I bring to visit has since made multiple visits. It's not that I don't like the other islands, but Barbados is comfortable and easy to get around. I feel safe there and I often find repeat visitors that I meet up with from time to time.
