I'm trying to compare the islands and can't find water temperatures for October anywhere. I can easily compare hotels, flight times, resturaunts, activities, as well as other weather info like air temperature, rainfall... but nowhere can I find water temperatures. If anyone knows this for the 3 islands mentioned, that'd be a huge help. Thanks.

Water temps tend to be warm around that time, which is one of the reasons why there are so many hurricanes during that time of year. I'm not sure of the exact temps, but from my experience it is quite pleasant, though the tides can get high if there is inclement weather ahead. If you are looking to visit one of the three islands based on water temps, I'd go with Barbados as they have not been hit by a major hurricane in decades. Jamaica is more likely to experience the hurricanes. St. Lucia is very close to Barbados, but over the last couple years, they've had slightly worse weather during the strong part of the season. Get travel insurance and have a great time. |
