Why do single women go to Barbados?

I was on a 2 day business trip to Barbados from the UK and there were an awful lot of single women on the flight! Why?

My wife was intending to go there for two weeks with her friend and now I'm wondering why! Is this a place were only single women go to or do they know something we don't?
