What are the best places to visit in Brussels - Belgium (Europe) ? Thank you? |
Travel Info I am staying there for 10 days. Travel Tips Grand Place, Manneken Pis, Dansaertstraat (trendy neighbourhood), Zonienwoud (forest just outside Brussels), Museum of Modern Art, Nieuwstraat (for shopping), Atomium (recently totally renovated!), Rue des Bouchers (tiny street with lots of restaurants), Natuurhistorisch Museum (with skeletons of dinosaurs),... Others Depends what you're interested in. Grand Place is one of the best public squares in the world. Begin with the Grand Place, it's gorgeous with its 15th., 16th. century buidings. visit also the first covered gallery from Europe, full of shops and caffeteries, than the "Manneken Piss" the statue of a litlle boy-the symbol of Bruxelles (it's a legend about this litlle boy), than the St. Michel Cathedral and many others wonderful churches, the Atomium and many others beauties.If you stay 10 days you can enjoy the belgian beer and chocolate and do a day-trip to Bruges an old medieval city. Enjoy your trip ! Grand Place, Atomium, Manneken Pis but don't be afraid of taking the train or your car and of going to other places in Belgium such as most coastal cities (Ostende, Bruges, La Panne) or the 'Ardennes' in the South where you can walk and see nice landscapes. Tournai is a great medieval city, too ! just make sure you see manneke pis, that's so cute! and just walk around the city, it has it all, it's such a glorious place to walk around in! |
