Hi, How do I get to Brussels from Amsterdam? Any coach/bus providers to recommend? |
Travel Info Do they stop near Grote Markt? De Marollen? Any places you would recommend that I must go? Thanks for your answers! :-) Travel Tips Train is most easy I think. You can choose between the normal IC (intercity) trains of the highspeed Thalys. But because there is not yet a highspeed track in use on that traject they have the same duration (+- 2h45) and I think the Thalys is more expensive... By IC it is 33.40 euro All trains stop at Brussels Nord, Central and South. From the Central station it is only 2 minutes walking to the Market square. An alternative is the Eurolines bus company. I know they stop at the Brussels Nord station and it costs 18 euro. Source(s): http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.ex... Belgium Railways http://www.ns.nl/servlet/satellite?cid=1... Dutch Railways https://webapp.eurolines.nl/eurolines/ss... Eurolines Other Travel Tips Whats wrong with the train? Go to central station in Amsterdam and take the train. It is very easy and relatively cheap. I wouldn't take the bus if I were you. I am not very familiar with Brussels but in Amsterdam you will definately have to see the Rijksmuseum. I have taken Thalys (express train) from Amsterdam as far as Antwerp, Belgium. It took about 1h, 45m if I recall. Brussels was the next stop. Very easy, faster than flying (when you factor in transfer time). http://www.thalys.com the question about the transport from bruxelles to amsterdam is already answered by others. But one thing you shouldn't miss in bruxelles is the Palace des beaux arts, the art museum, it's really really great, they have original hieronymus Bosch paintings!!! |
