Snow in Brusselas in january? Are there any ski center? |
Travel Info Hi, I will travel to Europe and will visit Brusselas, I hear that for that time (January ) many sites are closed, empty streets. Is that true? What can I do? What type of clothes I need? Thanks a lot... Travel Tips You cannot ski in Brussels, it's a city. Not near Brussels either. The area on the border with Germany (150 kms away) is the most hilly, and people in that area go skiing when there is enough snow, but that is hard to predict. Also, if you go to Brussels as a tourist, my advice is not to waste too much time there! Go straight to Brugge (Bruges) or Gent (Ghent) which are much cheaper and safer than Brussels, and much more interesting (and welcoming) to tourists. You can see Brussels in two hours. You need two days each for Brugge, Gent or Antwerp. My family has a hotel and visitors from around the world always rate Brugge first, Gent a close second, then Antwerp and Leuven. Source(s): See a question on Bruges here. Other Travel Tips Warm clots for sure. Most of the time we have no snow at all only rain here in Belgium. There's a ski piste (on brushes!) at Deurne by Antwerp. No empty streets in January at Brussels ! Because the sales ar then so plenty full of people. Atomium! |
