Can you guess what the single most popular name of male babies in Belgium is? |

What happened to all the Jans? Or the Roberts (I must know 15 Roberts!)? The most popular name is sure to be biblical since Belgium is overwhelmingly Catholic. And it wasn't all that long ago that Belgians had to choose their children's names from a government-approved list (of saints' names, so there were no Moon Units or Dweezils. or even Elvis...here). I'm putting my money on Peter or Jan (John), or how about Peter Jan (I know a few of those!). Now, if it was a girl's name, that'd be easier. Every other woman I know is called Lieve or Annemie/Anne-Marie; the younger ones are often Elizabeth or a variation thereof. Source(s): Living in Belgium since 1979. Other Travel Tips John Sebastien?
