Why Belgian people are so nice???

Well, there is a story behind that...
Maybe you don't know this but Belgium isn't a very "old" country... that's to say, the Belgians have been here a long time (CF Julius Caesar, who found the Belgica the bravest of all Galliciers) but our country was created only in 1830...
All through history we suffered occupation by different countries. There were the Spanish, Napoleon and his French lot and of course the Netherlands... Since we always tried to survive, we were used to please our occupants, we learned their language and their way of living. In short, we adapted.
And that is what we still do, adapt to everyone we meet. That's to say, us Flemish people, not sure about our French talking neighbors in Walloni毛. That's why we talk English to our UK or US visitors, French to our visitors from France and German to our visitors from Germany.
Besides, we are a proud nation, proud to have survived all our occupants!
And thanks for the compliment, we ame to please...

Thank you so much for your compliment. I didn't know that "we are all so nice..." It is however a fact that I would not want to live anywhere else....: nice people (as you say), excellent food, lots of cultural activities, "best" medical and social security systems, free kindergarten for every child, excellent Universities......and the "day-to-day European Capital activities as a whole"
