Diamond shop in mechelen,belgium? |
Travel Info i want to buy a diamond ring for my hubby.do u know of any good shop which is not very expensive either? any idea about probable price range? thanks! Travel Tips Hello, Diamonds and I mean the real ones are always expensive, the best you go to Antwerp, yes that's correct. But warning avoid the little shops at the station, they selling a lot fake. The best shop is at the Century Center" Slaets", there was a other one "Cardi" but that one is gone. "Tensen "at Huidevetterstraat is also a good one and further the Jewish shops at Schup straat & Quilinstraat. It will always be about 20-40 % cheaper then in your own country for gold and/or diamonds and they are real! And no there not clossed on Saturday Slaets & Tensen are open only the Jewish shops are clossed then. Source(s): I know Antwerp(living here!) and I know the diamond sector. Other Travel Tips let s go to congo and look for some real diamonds i ll be your buddy in this adventure. The best way to buy diamonds in Belgium is to take the train from Mechelen Nekerspoel or another station towards Antwerpen Centraal. When you exit Antwerpen Centraal, you will find the diamond center of the world on your left side. There are all little shops, mostly owned by Jewish or Russian people and with some looking around, you can do some bargains. You should try Antwerp. Its a city in North of Belgium. Antwerp has lots of diamond shop. Antwerp is famous for diamond cutting industry. Since the others already explained you about Antwerp, it's not necessarily that I do it again... Just one thing... don't go on a Saturday because the diamond shops will be closed! If you want to shop for diamonds, Antwerp (Antwerpen) is the place go, not Mechelen. It is at about half an hour from Mechelen and the Diamond District is right in front of the exit of the Central Station. There are dozens of jewelries in Keizerlei, Pelikaanstraat, including the Diamond Museum. If you can afford to buy something with a stone over 1 carat ask for its International Certificate stating purity, weight, color, flaws etc. Prices for 1/4 carat stone in golden ring (not platinum) start at 250-300 US $ |
