Is Belgium expensive ?

I am goin to Brussels for 2 weeks in July, I have a place to stay and meals already paid, I was wondering how much money should I take...can anybody tell me the avarage prices for a beer, a T-shirt, museums, disco, survenirs etc..?

It can be expensive or cheap depends where you go.
A beer at "the Grote markt"-Grand place is about 3-4 Euro depending if it's a normal beer or a special.
When you go to "Vossenplein" typical Brussels flea market it's about 2 Euro.
Souvenirs best take chocolates from "Providas" the best and cheapest(not Leonidas)!
Go for T-shirt's to the Nieuw straat-Rue Neuve, 10-25 Euro.
Disco, can be 6-10 euro for a drink.
Museums5-10 Euro.
I would suggest if you go for 2 weeks explore Antwerp (if you like Arts)it's cheaper and we have far more Museums,Churches here then Brussels. Source(s): I 'm living here in Belgium.

I was just there, and I found the prices to be similar to the states.
Brussels is expensive compared to the US. A beer will be about 5 euros, clothing is much more expensive, museums are reasonable around 5 euros. Don't exchange money until you get there. If you have an ATM card, get money that way, it will be cheaper (ATM fee + best exchange rate). Public transportation is very good and reasonable.

I've been there several times.
I was there on Apr last year.I stayed in Brussel,Antwerp and Bruge.Typically,the living fee in Belgium likes other countries in Europe.Museum fee is around 10 - 15 Euros.Waffle,the most popular food,is around 3-5 Euros.Also for Mcdonald.But survenirs is very expensive.
By the way,i suggest Antwerp if u have any free time.It is very beautiful city.

it s not in an average store the best beers like Jupiler stella artois are about 1,25 euros.if you prefer a tuff beer you d pay 2 in a shop in a bar it s maximum 2 euro for a glass
average cafe 1,30 euros.
t shirts in Carrefour are from 5 box to 15 if you wanna be nicked you can also choose to buy it in the middle of the town.
you can eat snacks with several sauces to 3,50 +1 euro a drink.
travel in Brussels get a day card or 10 voyages it was 7 or 9 ,60 i guess tram metro bus it counts for all.but stamp your card before you get in the metro.
