Are there any internal train services in Antwerp i need to get to Mol after reaching Antwerp by Thalys ? |
Travel Info hi there i need help getting around belgium Travel Tips First make sure that you alight in Antwerp Centraal from the Talys and not in Antwerp Berchem. If you alight in Antwerp Berchem you have to change tracks and take a train coming from Brussels and continuing to Antwerp Centraal. It is a 5 minute ride. Once in Antwerp Centraal, go to the head of the tracks (Antwerp Centraal is a station where the national trains cannot continue) At the head of each track there are yellow posters called Vertrek (Departures) They are classified by the hour. Look for the nearest departure o Mol: it will tell you the departure and arrival time and the number of the track from where you depart. However you have to go down to the main lobby to buy your ticket to Mol. You can also ask an employee. They speak acceptable English. And lastly you can visit www.nmbs.be. Bon voyage. Others When you arrived at Central Station you just ask for the next train to Mol (tickets to buy inside the station) There is one every hour i think. Have a nice trip! Gilbert Train is a good way to get around or other public transport, indeed asked inside and they will put you on the right one. trains are very common. ask inside the station, where all workers are required to be able to speak english. they will be able to put you on the right track. if not, there are also buses, but if you do not speak the language, and are not used to the system and know exactly where you are going, it can be quite confusing. living in belgium as an exchange student |
