Freinet schools?

My mother seems to have her heart set on my daughter going to a Freinet school ever since i mentioned Rudolf Steiner education. Had a look on the web and they seem well established in Belgium. Does anyone have first-hand experience of them or has children in a Freinet school? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

Never been in one as they just started to come up when I was almost ready to leave school but I've heard good things about them...
They tend to let children learn in a more relaxed manner and at their own tempo... I don't think they have real classrooms and stuff...
But I also think you'll have to keep a clear view on what your kids are learning, to make sure that they are ready to go to "the big school" when they are 12-13 years old... if I'm informed correctly the Freinet schools only go till 12 years, after that they have to go to a regular school...it has to do with the school system in our country...
