Travel Info I will travel to brussels by mid of this month for one week. any advices, or recommendation to have nice fun " Travel Tips Check out the pubs in the Sablon. It's a beautiful, elegant area with great restaurants and museums. Of course you'll see the Grand Place which is absolutely breathtaking, especially at night. I don't know why everyone makes such a big deal out of the Mannekin Pis. I've been living in Brussels now for 4 months and before moving here I visited the city several times -- without seeing the thing. Although there is a very nice pub right across the street from it . . . For good beer, go to La Morte Subite and La Porte Noir. There are also some good bars at the Bourse. If you like shopping, Rue Neuve is very affordable but the shops on and around Avenue Louise are much better. There are some cool shops around the Grand Place but overpriced I think for what they are. St. Catherine's is another very nice area with excellent restaurants. Make sure you take a trip to Antwerp (30 minutes outside Brussels), and if you have time check out Ghent. Many older people like Brugge. It's like something out of a fairy tale, very pretty and picturesque and there's a canal -- but boring as hell. And the food is so expensive. Enjoy! Source(s): Personal experience (I live in Brussels) Other Travel Tips i would highly reccomend you to go and see the Atomium, Mini Europe and the little boy who pees in the fountain. those would be like the main attractions. enjoy! Grand Place, Manneke-pis, Atomium, and go for 1 or 2 days to Antwerp(en). hello this is Turkish buddy on your tail.while you re in Brussels you can get the train from any station to all sides of Belgium. You can visit the brasserie of old times in Grand place in Brussels. Waterloo like Abba says it s in Belgium too. When 陌 talk about Belgium i feel 陌 m thirsty it would be good to have a cold stella now. Ankara Kale Whoops, Brussels is not that easy. Many foreigners say it is so boring... but that is only because it takes time to understand the fun places... they are not centered around one square or so. What is really fun about Brussels is that it is sooo laid back, compared to central european cities, and also a bit avant garde... Belgians have been named 'boring' so many times, that they usually are the ones to experiment with clothing, dance, art a lot more then any other... plus of course being overrun every other decade by another european power, has given it a very relax, not-nationalistic, bit of a surrealistic touch. Just walk about and have fun. Do not forget to have a drink in the little alleys opposite La Bourse (Halles St Getry). The flemish have their niche there. Or in Matonge, the African corner in Ixelles. Nicest walk : start at the Palais de Justice, walk towards the Place du Roi, then the Central Parc and the Royal Palace, then again over the Place des Mus茅es and go down through the little parc towards downtown, through the Gallerie de la Reine, the quaint Rue des Boucher, and end at the Grand Place. I love the Place de Sablon as well ! |
