OSTEND BELGIUM!? |
Travel Info Have you spent a short holiday there, was it fun? Travel Tips Swampy, silly question, why dont you tell us youve been there. De Panne. Neuport, kokside, all by tram eachway, going east to Blankenburg and so on! Oostende a great place to be at weekends. Casinos are a plenty.and you know of the racecourse. Must go again. Others Yes Ostend is very good. Very good fish restaurants. You can see the typical fish mine on the sea, where they sale the fish on reasonable prices(very good when you rent a apartment over there). I'm Belgian. i had a few weekends there.its ok but not outstanding-try brugges or brussells they are REALLY good Have a day out there twice years ago!! Its ok if i remember, plenty of shops and best of all the lovely chocolate!! Good food and drink (all night) and you can get out to Bruges or jump on the tram to Knokke a small coastal town across the river from Holland. Ostend is adequate but Brugges, Ghent and Antwerp are much better. |
