Travel Info Teaching english as a second language abroad without a degree? Is that possible??
Travel Tips
Hi,
Depends on what country you are going to and what you are willing to be paid. I am not an English teacher but have lived in Peru, Equador and Costa Rica..... I have taught without a degree in Peru and Costa Rica. In addition, once you have taught (you may already be an English teacher), you can teach from your home..... there are hundreds of people wanting to learn. Commitmentttment and salary are important. I tried to give some free lessons and some scholarships to some and found it was not a good idea. Paying for classes helps students keep focused and come on time to class! It is a very rewarding experience. If you go to the jungles of Peru.... listen. My students loved to sing "If Your Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands!" Look for English newspapers like the Tico Times of Costa Rica that advertise, too. I wish you success. |
