It is also a cleaner island, and its residents aren't desperate for your money (no crime). Example: your cab driver is likely a millionaire. The nicest places to stay in Bermuda are luxury cottage villages on the ocean that provide peace, quiet and relaxation and golf. Bahamas have more "American style" of high rise luxury accommodation, with gambling. (no gambling in Bermuda) With that, there is a bit of rif-raf, and a slight atmosphere of pedaling. I know people that have gone to Sandals (Bahamas), and never left the resort or had to. In Bermuda that is not the case, you will want to explore the island be it by scooter, bus, ferry, cab of foot.
