What happens if you miss the departure of a cruise? Are you allowed to catch up at the next point and board? |
Travel Info Just trying to plan something out. One person out of our 25 person group on NCL in June may not make it to departure due to work. What happens to people who miss it? Can they board at an island? Travel Tips The best thing to do, would be to contact NCL. Explain the situation and ask what to do. If they have air from NCL and the plane comes in, the boat won't leave until they are on (if it is in a reasonable amount of time) I would like to tell you that yes, they will allow this. But some lines/captains are very strict about different policies and I wouldn't want to rely on them letting me on, only to get there and find out that they won't let them on. If you call, NCL will be able to tell you what can or cannot be done. But you will want to be sure to get this arranged and finalized soon so that you aren't close to departure and the person has to buy air. Others Yep. That's your only option. Absolutely. All they need to do is to pick up a flight to the next Port of call and board there. Yes, they may embark the ship at the first stop, just remember a lot of cruises have a day at sea before they arrive at the first island, and the expense of flying to the first island is on the passenger. |
