Travel Info How good is it to snorkel from Coco reef hotel area on elbow beach? Travel Tips As good as snorkling can be! Others We had excellent luck snorkeling at elbow beach (and pretty darned good snorkeling at Tobacco Bay as well). But Elbow Beach we saw HUGE Parrot Fish that we could actually hear munching on coral, an eel, several other colorful fish I couldn't even begin to name. We also went there very early 2 days in a row and brought cereal (bread works too). Sprinkle that in hip deep water all around you and pretty soon you will be surrounded by little white fish. We did this both days and everyone wanted to know what we were doing so they could do it too. We were there a few years about in late August and encountered several jellyfish so you should always be cautious wherever you snorkel. A nasty sting from one of them is not at all pleasant. Bermuda was some of the best snorkeling we've ever had in Mexico and the Carribbean. We are going to Hawaii in two weeks and I hope it is as good (I've heard it is!!). Enjoy! |
