Travel Info Where is the best place to snorkel from in Bermuda? Travel Tips The best place is probably Church Bay, lots of stuff to see. Other good places are the Snorkel Park at Dockyard, Horseshoe Bay (the cove that cutie66m is speaking of is to the right as you enter the beach - but beware, Horseshoe is WAY crowded), and Jobson's Cove (at Warwick Long Bay). You really can't go wrong with anyplace on the South Shore. I also like to snorkel at Grotto Bay Hotel; there is a nice protected area to the side of their beach that has tons and tons of fish that you can hand feed, and they also have a cave on property that you can swim and snorkel in (but the water's cold!) HORSESHOE BAY! oooooooooooooooooooooo im so jealous youre going.. it IS TRULY AMAZING the fish are hugeeeeeeeee! horseshoe bay is the prettiest beach on the island.... go over around the corner when you first walk on to the beach....allmost as if you are going to climb up that big cliff. because around the corner is like little coves and coral and stuff , instead of going out straight when you first walk on to the beach ( the big part) plus the little cove area is cool , around the corner, its not overly crowed and lots of fish, little caves you can look in to and stuff. Tell me your not going on a cruise .........:( i just got back from there on the 31st of july.... was there for a week. go to dockyard. snorkeling is really good there too actually. and the beach is cool! the floating slides hahah. alsooooo YOU HAVE to go to the 'FROG AND ONION PUB' KAY? PROMISE ME they have the hugest, biggest, badest, yummiest, burger in THE WORLD. it is disgusting how big it is... lol i ate it all... and im a tiny girl..big appetite.. annnyways, it is big, you cant ever fit your mouth around it with out looking like a slob..... lol so my family and i dug right it hahahhaha. yummmmmmmmmmm the burger is amazing, it cost like 24 dollars though.... its an expensive island. have fun for me!!!!!!!!!!! :D ooooo im sad now :P been there done that ........AND LOVED IT The locals will tell you that the best place is Church Bay. I didn't have a chance to get there when I was there earlier this year but I went to Horshshoe Bay (Southampton Area, right in front of the Fairmont Resort). It was listed on the top 10 beaches in the owrld and I totally agree. The pictures I have from the bay are amazing and my firends think I touched up the color in the pictures because the water is so blue! You can also go next Horshshoe bay to the Fairmont's private beach (you can walk over to it, nobody will say anything), the water is a little calmer because it's more blocked off from the waves. Nice are to snorkel as well. The only thing you need a heads up on is the Portugese Man O'War jellyfish. I saw one on the beach and I also saw someone that was stung.
