Is there any surf in bermuda?

I have visited Bermuda many times and have been all over the island. Surfing (on board) opportunities are rare if any. The south shore beaches are great for sunbathing and swimming but the waves and swells are not high enough for surfboarding. On the north shore, most of the beaches are too rocky (the reefs) to be safe for surfers. I have however, seen many people body surf and use boogie boards.

According to the official visitor's website of Bermuda, when the swells are sufficiently high for surfing, the beaches are usually closed because the high winds increase the rip-tides and make it dangerous to swim and/or surf.

I have been to the Elbow Beach Surf club many times. It is definitely not a surfing beach. But it is a fun and elegant place to dine and the beach is beautiful.

All that said, Bermuda is one of the loveliest places on the planet. It is physically gorgeous and the people are absolutely exquisitely friendly and dignified. A Bermuda vacation is a tremendous experience! Source(s): http://bermuda-online.org/beaches.htm...

yes at elbow beach, they have a hotel there called elbow beach surf and country club that should tell you something
Been there several times and not much surf. Not enough for surifing if that is what you want to do. Try the the North Shore of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands for world class surf.
