Travel Info Bermuda? any info? x x x? Travel Tips I've been to Bermuda dozens of times over the last 40 years! In the 60's it was really hot and it took years to get a reservation at a hotel. Princess Hotels, Elbow Beach are still very popular and not as difficult to get rooms. Because it is an island all food is imported so it is pricey. Use plenty of sun screen, I got sun poisoning my first time there. I highly recommend Bermuda the people are so friendly, the entertainment is hot, and you'll love it there. Others The shorts or triangle? My first cruise was in 1988 on the QE2. Bermuda has a formal British flair to it. It has the softest pink sand on its beaches, to seemingly match its pastel painted homes. It has one of the highest standards of living in the entire world. I would go back and spend more time there without a second thought. Been there, done that...<grin> The official language is English but also speak Portuguese. The location North America in the North Atlantic Ocean east of South Carolina. It also has large and small beaches. I have never been there but some info I know and some of the pictures i have saw it is beautiful there. Very nice. Great Beaches, people and dining. It is rather expensive though. Unless you plan on staying in a hostel you are going to get hit in the wallet hard. Rent a moped but be very careful as the natives seem to get upset with people who are not riding the bikes properly. They can be very dangerous as well. Weather is much less preditcable then other areas farther south. Mid May- Mid Oct is the best stretch. Alot of sunny days, never gets to hot and the rain tends to come down hard , but doesnt last long at all. Other times of year can be cool and lousy for beach type weather. |
