Travel Info Need to know what sort of dress code to be wear in summer in Bermuda. I heard that shorts are more populer in summer amoung employees. but is it possible to wear a short in publuc places? Travel Tips No real dress code problems there. Contemporary golf attire is required at the Stratton Mountain Country Club. For men, this includes a collared shirt (polo or mock neck). Bermuda length shorts or slacks are acceptable. For women, sleeveless shirts are permitted (but must have a collar). In addition, appropriate length shorts and skirts are acceptable (no more than 2" above the knee.) Denim, gym clothing, cut-offs, and tank tops are strictly prohibited at the Stratton Mountain Country Club. At Some Hotels:- Breakfast & Lunch: Our guests normally dress nicely for breakfast, at lunch this is also the case and for those who are in swimsuits, we require cover-ups for the ladies and shirts for the gentlemen. Footwear again, is always required, except for Breezes (beach front bistro) where dress is totally casual. Evenings: During the summer months, we will offer a number of alternatives for dinner, reservations are required. These areas have their own dress codes as follows. Beach Dining at Breezes: Resort casual. Footwear must be worn at all times! Fabulous sunsets, delicious food -- that endless summer feeling. The Tamarisk Restaurant and Terrace: Jackets and ties are now optional, collared shirts are required, but you will see many who truly enjoy dressing nicely for a gourmet dinner. Men who frequent Bermuda will often wear the traditional attire: blazer and collared shirt with Bermuda shorts and long socks or slacks. If outdoor dining on the terrace is desired, those who wear jackets will feel free to remove them. Gentlemen are not permitted to wear open-toed shoes. Sneakers, jeans, cut offs and vests are not acceptable in the restaurant or on the Tamarisk Terrace. Others You may definitely wear shorts in public. Just make sure they are modest. Bermudian businessmen are often seen in Bermuda shorts in the summer walking down the street. What you do not want to wear in public is a bathing suit with no cover-up. Of course, you may wear one on the beach or at the pool. However, you are going to the beach by bus, make sure that you have something on over your suit. sure you can because it will be hoooootttttt, you can wear ur shorts with a draggers and sun block and a vest or t Bermuda can be very casual, and shorts are acceptable. Torn jeans are frowned upon. A lot depends on where you are. I was at Coral Beach Club and felt underdressed heading to the beach once. But that was probably feeling self-conscious. Shorts are good. But dress for where you are going. Trendy resort requires appropriate clothing. Be yourself. Shorts are appropriate. But I don't think looking like a bum works. I know there was a time when some folks looking like ants walking from cruise ship embarassed themselves by wearing next to nothing walking to Tobacco Bay. So, think about what you are wearing. |
