It is our 10th marraige anniversary.... so a special honeymoon trip...

Travel Tips
you must not miss interlaken.
it is beautiful and cozy, and all the trains go through it. there are several hotels there, and when i went we stayed at a best western (and it was great!)
from your hotel room you can see on the television what the view is like (live) from several mountain peaks. the swiss have put television cameras set up on the tops of them. from your hotel room you can see what the weather is like and the view, and decide which excursion you'd like to take that day.
you must also visit Schilthorn.
it's an excursion that takes several hours, but is not laborous. the view is the most magnificent i've ever seen, and on a clear day you can see italy from there.

"From Stechelberg a gondola leaves, through M眉rren, to the Schilthorn (2,970 m, 9,744 ft). You might know the revolving restaurant at the top of the mountain from James Bond's "On her majesty's secret service". On a clear day, you will have a magnificent view of 360 degrees over the tops of the Bernese Oberland. But also when it's clouded you may be lucky enough to have the chance of being higher than the clouds, so that you can look down on them, enjoying the sun in the meantime. In the valley station and at the several intermediates you will find cameras, which show you the situation at the top, live."

Whatever you do, don't miss Lucerne (locally, Luzern) and make sure you visit Jung Frau Joch mountains, they're to be seen on an early morning visit and take up all day. It's said that you're "half-way up in heaven" and literally, you are. Also, try and stay at a farmhouse-turned-guesthouse as it's really cosy, a lot more romantic (and cost-effective) and definitely more fun (you may get to learn horse-riding for free)! Ammm... either than that, the usual (in order of fun/romance) - Geneva, Zurich, Bern

as other noted, Jungfraujoch is pretty special (though expensive -- 155CHF for RT train ride). other glaciers to consider, there is Mt. Titlis 2hr from Zurich, costs i think 70-80CHF for a series of 3 cable car rides. The Matterhorn (or more specifically, Kleine Matterhorn which is where you'd really be going), in Zermatt is worth a trip (but far from the rest of the country); price about the same as Mt. Titlis i think.

i rather like Zurich, but that's just me. other sites to research: Appenzell, Basel, Bern, Luzern, Thun, St Gallen, Lausanne. there's a lot to see in Switzerland; it just depends on what you want to do. there's a 3-7-10 day trip itinerary flash presentation at myswitzerland.com; you might want to check it out -- though i think the 10 day trip is very rushed (you'd be on the train and changing hotels every day!).
