Travel Info I know that Bern is the capital of Switzerland but what other information is there about Bern? Travel Tips I live just outside of Bern!! The old downtown is UNESCO world heritage. The river is called the Aare, and if you're in Bern in the summer I'd recommend swimming in it (it's sooooo much fun) I'd also go and see the m眉nster, the bear pits.. ps. I great place to have a bite to eat is the MIgros restaurant on the main street downtown bern. Others http://www.bern.ch http://www.berninfo.com good travel!!! They have some bears in a pit. Last Monday in November is the big Onion Market. The Aare runs through it, really fast, if you go down to the beach you can jump in and be pushed along by the current and then escape. (There's a pool there too if you're scared of the river) |
