Any suggestions for things to do around West Mids during the hols with grandkids from 4 to 8 years old?

yes there are things you can do
like buy a galvanized swimming pool they will love it

Also you can buy a cheap small plastic pool and
a hoola hoop then take dawn for dishes and some
Glycerin which is a sweet liquid used to make medicine
add the glycerin & dawn together for better bubbles
and have a kid stand in a plastic pool and raise the
hoop over them and put them inside of a bubble.

Get the grill out and BBQ
with them
get some jello and a blender
and add ice and make some cool
drinks that are yummy
add a couple of straws.
pour into colorful glasses

The reason for the galvanized
swimming pool is kids have more fun in deeper water

later pop some popcorn
and watch a movie
it does not have to be cartoons
it can be a very interesting one.

Also if you have some old nylons
let them put it over there hair & tell them
they can have pretend long hair

and put a hair tie on it to make it real.
for the imagination of a child is great

Sit in a lounge chair
under the sprinkler
while you water your grass

tell stories while outside that are fun
then if the weather changes and gets slightly cool
make a fire in a fire pit and roast mashmallows
And do the smores thing

Let them dress up in long flashy dresses
if they are girls

Do some face painting
Eat corn on the cob and stick it on a chopstick
or what ever stick you have around.

Look in the garage and see if u have an old
teapot and fill it with cold herbal tea
and let them have a teaparty with stuffed toys,
