Has anyone found fair priced hotels in the midlands.we are fed up of staying at the usual motor way hotels.? |
Travel Info needs to be good clean and reasonably priced. hate staying in b/bs. too much like being in someones home... Travel Tips If you go to the Hagley Road there are plenty of B&B's from about 拢17 a night Others inn keepers lodge http://www.innkeeperslodge.com/index.asp... Notry and look on the internet on the yellow apges or on michelin ! The Ibis chain are quite nice....stayed in one in Manchester on Portland Street and was happy with that. I agree with Ozzie D, the Hagley Road in Birmingham has a good range of hotels. Also try south of Birmingham, there are plenty of decent places in Henley in Arden, Stratford, Warwick and the Black Country. Check out the Internet. Hagley Road is a really good place to stay - but you should also check out http://www.birminghamnet.co.uk/hotels/... and a great place nearby for coffee and cake (and a bit unusual) - or a meal / lunch - is 'Jonathon's' if you are a bit adventurous and fancy a change try a Youth Hostel - they are sooo nice these days and cheap and flexible. see www.yha.org.uk |
