Where should I live?

Travel Info
I am a young professional moving to Birmingham in August. I will be working near the city centre and I was wondering where would be a good area to look for a flat. I was looking at one in Acocks Green but apparently the neighbourhood is not too great. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't like driving and I would like to have a commute of under 45 minutes.

Travel Tips
Try Tamworth it is a good area.
Others
Screw Birmingham, move to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada and snowboard 8 months a year.
