How would i go about booking a canal boat ride in Birmingham? |
Travel Info i want to take my kids on a canal boat ride this summer i live in Birmingham i need to know if i have to book or can u jst turn up i'm not sure where to go exactly help any help would be much aprreciated Travel Tips There are loads of boat operators on this stretch, Sherbourne Wharf is the main dropping off point, this is in Gas Street Basin, you will find plenty of choice. This one below offers 1 hour trips, pay as you go, you just turn up, added the phone number if you want to telephone for info. Second City Boats : 0121 236 9811 There is also http://www.sherbornewharf.co.uk/... They 4 run trips every day, but they stress that you must book first, their tel no is 0121-455-6163, they describe their trips as City Heritage Tours, I have actually done one and can highly rec it. Hope that helps xx Others When I was there last week you could just wait at one of the pick up/drop off points there were about 3 I saw along the way (close to the NIA) I dont think you need to book to go on a canal ride. I went on it not too long agao, and me and my mate just turned up and got on the boat. You might want to ring them up and find out for sure.
