Does anyone know where a 14 year old can get an official ID in the state of Massachusetts?

Travel Info
My child is going to Anime Boston and they want a photo ID. So far, my only option is a passport ($140.00) and it is possible it won't be ready for 4/20/07.
HELP!!!!!!!

You can go to any RMV (doesn't have to be the one in Boston, whichever one is closest - although I believe it has to be a full-service not an express one). Go to www.massrmv.com to see which one is the closest to where you live and the cost, and what you need in order to get one. It's definitely cheaper than $140 (even a drivers license is cheaper than that, and I think an ID is even less). But it's all on their website.

in Connecticut, you can get an ID at the DMV (looks like a license)
I'm pretty sure you can go to the Secretary of State and see if they can get your kid a state ID. I live in Michigan so I'm not sure if they do it in Massachusetts. My brother got one when he was like 11 or 12...I think!!! But it's worth a shot.
The Registry which is located on Washington Street in Chinatown.
Drivers license bureau, a photo ID, about $12.00
