Is Boston a dangerous place to live in?

because i want to move there in college. Im going to Cambridge colllege too and i want to make sure its safe there. They no sell drugs? No muders recently? No danger? What?

Boston in general is one of the nicest, safest most livable cities. As you will soon learn, it is a city made up of many neighborhoods. Long as you stay away from a few of those neighborhoods, it is about as safe as any city can be. Long as you are smart, and be just a little careful you should be fine. And don't forget most of the major colleges have their own security staff, you need an ID to get into your dorm, and other added things to make it safe.

Long as you stay away from drugs and those selling them, you shouldn't have a problem. And the good is much more than the bad. It's a lovely town. I came here to go to college, loved it so much I made it my home! So don't worry! And Cambridge is awesome too (assume you are going to Harvard or MIT and both are in very good areas with great views of Boston).

girl, its the best place ever!!! The only place u want to stay away from is Roxbury, which is way way down south of boston.other than that, everywhere is pretty much safe!!
Boston in general is safe. It's the same as any big city. You'll need to use some common sense- don't leave your doors unlocked, walked alone at night, etc. It's safer than a lot of big cities actually. But if you're asking if in an urban area, there are no people selling drugs, you must be crazy! Drugs are everywhere, just ignore it. . . . Take a visit to Boston, and form your own opinion, but I think overall people would say it's nice.
Statistically, it's one of the safest major American cities. There are a couple of "bad" areas with lots of crime (Roxbury and parts of Mattapan and Dorchester) - almost all of the crime happens in those areas and if you're not there, then it's generally safe. Just use common sense, but like I said Boston is safer than most cities.
well boston is a big city so like any city of course there are dangerous parts and nice parts. every city has drugs and so does every college. as long as you are smart and are careful you will be fine.
