Evenings in Boston?? |
Travel Info I'm headed to Boston next week for a week of training........where do you suggest I go for the nightlife? Comedy? Dinner? etc....... Travel Tips Blue Man Group usually plays at the Charles Playhouse. You can get your tickets there or online through their website. http://www.blueman.com/ticketinfo/boston... When done, Charles Playhouse is right next to Chinatown! Get your seafood fix there. Lobsters, scallops, fresh live shrimp and fish... you name it! If you don't like Blue Man Group, the theater district is right next to chinatown. Do a search online and see if you like anything that's playing. The New England Aquarium/IMAX theater www.neaq.org is also a couple blocks away. If you like oysters and clams from the raw bar, Union Oyster House www.unionoysterhouse.com is well known for that. You can get your New England clam chowder from any Legal Seafoods restaurant near you. www.legalseafoods.com Wanna just walk in the park? The Boston Commons is also walking distance from Chinatown & the theater district. If you're lucky, you might see some free performances there. Others Great Irish band, Sundays Well in Boston on State Street. Head into the Black Rose for great entertainment. Great pint of guiness if i might add. You wont regret it. I go in there often. go down to fanuel hall market place. go into "Durgan Park" its a restaurant in fanuel hall. if you like lobster go to "legal seafood" at the prudential center in copley square. go to the "north end" for great Italian restaurants. Try Havard Square. There are lots of free entertainment. Around Fanueil Hall there are some good bars (Ned Devines, Clarks, Purple Shamrock to name a few), and lots of good places to eat. Also, there is The Comedy Connection, where there are shows just about every night worth checking out, that's always a good time. For some dancing and stuff you can go to Paris, also right in Fanueil Hall. . .If you are going to be in town around baseball season all the bars around Fenway Park will be packed and sure to be a good time too! Newburry Street, and if you get a chance, go to the top of the Prudential for a spectacular view! I think it costs $6 or so |
