Where can I get a punky rock star haircut in Boston for cheap? |
Travel Info I'm looking for a place to get funky haircut/color in the Boston, Brighton, Allston, Watertown, Newton, Waltham...etc. area. I've heard good things about Judy Jettson salon in Cambridge, but they're a bit pricey for me. There must be places around that cater to poor college students! They might do something like that if you ask. Also, think about a hair school that's around. Call and ask when they could do a hair cut for you, they have good prices, anywhere most likely. My bud for years and first choice for you would be Ron working at Ojee's on Mass Av near Comm and Newbury...less than $20 and a great job too! he's been cutting my hair and many other Bostonians' for more than a decade...just the way we want it... Judy Jetson in Porter Square (Cambridge) is about as punk rock as you can get. Most of their stylists will do cuts for under $45, maybe cheaper if you get someone in training. You can also try Newbury Street- many salons have training nights where their stylists cut hair for free. Avoid supercuts. It'll be the worst $10 you'll ever spend. |
