Travel Info I am planning a trip to chicago and boston. How many nights shoud i stay in each city? Travel Tips Whatever number is picked make it the same for both cities. Chicago has a bit more to see and do within the city but Boston (actually you should consider it Boston/Cambridge) much more within the metropolitan area and in peripheral cities (Salem, Gloucester, Lowell, Lexington-Concord and Providence are all within 50 miles; most easily reachable by train on the local transit system. What is there within 50 miles of Chicago?; Gary and Waukeegan!). Chicago mid-city architecture far more impressive, Boston is dull but Boston's neighborhood architecture superior. Boston is far more easily walkable. Stock up while in Chicago on the great Polish sausages and other goodies at the incredible Polish delis along Milwaukee Avenue; you certainly will not find any in Boston! Others I'd say at least 4 Well..probably a week in each city. Then again depends on your budget and your liking. If you really find that city nice to hang out, stick around as long as you like !!! Well, it depends on what kind of tourist attractions you're interested in. Chicago has loads of different things to offer. Starting from loads of Museums (I recommend the Museum of Science - really great stuff in there) over really great pubs/bars (go to the "Howl at the Moon" - really cool Piano Bar, absolutely not cheesy, they play songs requested by the audience and sing them obviously the crowd sings along so it can turn out to be very amusing) to attractions like Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier and so on. I guess you could get the major attractions done in 3-4 days. Have a good and safe trip! Go see Europe and the civilization. Chicago and Boston are dull cities with no culture and nothing to see 4 days in each would be ideal, especially because you have to factor in time for travel, etc. Two |
