Is there an age limit for renting a hotel room?

Travel Info
In MA, CT, and NH?

I always thought it was 18, but some places say 21

Travel Tips
Individual hotels (or the chains that own them) can set whatever rules they want. While some states have a legal requirement of 18, that is a minimum; hotels can require an older age if they wish. Many hotels set an age of 21 to avoid problems with high school or college students who want to party in their rooms.
Others
I think that the 18 or 21 rule is a rule of the individual hotel. Your best bet would be to call and ask them ahead of time.
by law you have to be 18 .
It's 18. You need a credit card.
if 18 and you pay cash, i don't think they'd object.
18 or 21 depends on the place
I would call before hand, I believe it is by individual hotel. Here in MN we have both 18 & 21 hotels. It's crazy!
