Travel Tips
First place that came to my mind is Davio's, now on Arlington St in the old Paine Furniture Building. In all the years I've gone there, I never once had a bad meal. I never even had a mediocre meal (which nowadays is pretty amazing). They are always great! I will admit to missing their smaller space on Newbury, since I just loved that little outdoor cafe in the summer. The new place is stunning, but Newbury was just such a fun, cozy people watching spot. But that is the single slightly negative thing I could say about them....awesome food consistantly!

Go to Brassiere JO at The Colonnade Hotel right across from the Pru. It's soooo good.

Also, Tapeo Restaurant & Tapas Bar on Newbury Street is really good.

Back Bay has the Capital Grille, always a favorite. There's also L'Espalier, a pricy, but excellent French restaurant. Douzo is Back Bay's best sushi, if you like sushi. McCormick & Schmick's is one of the city's best known seafood joints.

Back Bay is home to some of the city's best restaurants and has something great no matter what you are in the mood for. Coply is home to the Hard Rock Cafe which is always a touristy but fun favorite. Especially the Boston location's Aerosmith collection, since they reign from Boston
McDonalds
Tapeo!

For a more laid back place, go to Champions bar in the Marriott.
Newbury St is lined w/some good restaurants. Tapeo was already mentioned, and is a great choice. Others include Kashmir (Indian), Ciao Bella, and Bostone Pizza (more of a take out place, but really great slices!)

Laurel is in the Back Bay (Berkeley St). Upscale food at moderate prices.

Addis Red Sea is located on Tremont St in the back bay. Ethiopian food - fun place to go and try something different. Staff is very helpful for newcomers.
