What is the cheapest way to get from Manchester, NH airport to Boston? |
Travel Info What is the cheapest way to get from Manchester, NH airport to Boston? Travel Tips If you've got a car, drive. :-) But we'll assume you don't have one and actually want to get to Boston in a reasonable amount of time (not walking or biking). So, your best option is probably Concord Trailways buslines for $15 one way. Here's the link to their schedule. http://www.concordtrailways.com/new_hamp... Here's the fares. http://www.concordtrailways.com/concord_... 2nd best is probably the train (Amtrak) which'll get you from Manchester to Boston in about an hour (station to station), except Amtrak uses connecting bus service too! Here's their link. http://www.cwrr.com/amtrak/e_thrwy.html... http://www.cwrr.com/amtrak/e_thrwy.html#... Vermont transit Lines also operates in that corridor. Here's their schedule info. http://www.vermonttransit.com/table62.ht... So, bus it is! Hope that helps! Edit: Yes, there is a shuttle to Charleston if you are arriving on a flight into Manchester. I did not assume that you were flying in (my bad). However, if you arrive on a flight into Manchester airport, you can take the Manchester shuttle to Woburn/Charleston/Sullivan Square and catch the MBTA (subway/bus) from there. It's every two hours. http://www.flymanchester.com/transportat... Others check orbitz or pricewatch The cheapest is probably walking or riding a bike, but that will probably be too slow. Hitch a ride with a friend or take a bus. My God! I cannot believe that the predecessor Answerers are unaware of the free hourly shuttle bus. It goes from the airport to both Anderson-Woburn train station/transit center and into Boston (I think - but I am not sure - to Haymarket T station). |
