The HOWARD JOHNSON is now a Boston University Dormitory so it does not exist as a Hotel anymore. Others The closest is the Commonwealth Hotel on Comm Ave in Kenmore Sq. Rates are usually around 250/a night there. If you're looking for something cheaper, there is a Howard Johnson hotel in kenmore as well. Not the nicest place, but possibly more affordable than the Commonwealth. Hotel Commonwealth, The Howard Johnson or The Hotel Buckminster are the closest options. ShouldBeWorking is correct. K.Chick is confused (she is thinking of a different Howard Johnson's). The Buckminster is closest by a couple hundred feet. It is an older hotel recently renovated. The HJ is a typical urban rather dumpy chain place. The Commonwealth is super luxury. Also nearby is the 463 Beacon Street Guest House, a small European-type place. Try the Oasis Guest House located on Edgerly Road. Nice, quiet, and affordable. It is just a five minute walk to Lansdowne Street. I live around the corner from it. |
