I just moved to Boston from Florida. Where do I get necessities like toilet paper? |
Travel Info I tried to go to Target or Wal-Mart but they are too far away and not in the city. I do not have a car so I would prefer direction by the T or within walking distance. Travel Tips CVS, shaws, Star, Others There are a number of Shaw's grocery stores near T stops - and they usually have all the necessities... There's one right at Copley that is pretty big, and I like the Shaw's on Boylston near the Fenway T stop too. You can also always buy toilet paper and stuff from CVS (drugstore - they are all over Boston), Walgreens, or Brooks. Good luck! I agree with Liz, that Shaws is going to be your best bet. I would try checking out a side store. Or order some online. What have you been using up to now? Buy a newsapaper at the corner store. Works great in a pinch ;-) most places in the city there's a walgreen's or cvs on every corner. you might also find a store 24 depending on where you live. there's a shaws supermarket on boylston street not too far from fenway park too. Just go to a CVS drugstore for toilet paper. Other necessities like milk, soda, even foodstuffs like cookies and soups, etc., can be found in drugstore chains. I used to go to the supermarket in the bottom of the Prudential when I was lived in the city. |
