Well of course there's the fireworks and Boston Pops Concert (Pops Goes the 4th) at the Hatchshell. Its actually one of the biggest celebrations in the country on the 4th, along with DC, and its been televised every year since I was little. You'll want to take the T in, and get there early so that you can get a good spot if you want to see the orchestra.
