Travel Info What the best way to get to fenway park from hartford? Travel Tips Assuming you are driving... Wish you said where in Hartford you were coming from. You have 2 choices. IMHO the fastest/most direct is Rt. 84 East- to the MA turnpike - I 90 which will take you directly into Boston. If you are on the other side of Hartford, take I 91 to 84, then continue on. When you get to Boston; Take Exit18 heading towards Cambridge (LEFT side of road exit). Do NOT head towards Allston/Brighton even if it says Boston. You will loop around and be on Cambridge St. Get in the right hand lane and turn right onto Soldier's Field Road. (Be sure to turn at the big corner/Hotel on Rt....do not cross over the river). This turns in to Storrow Drive (you should see the Charles River on the left side of the road). I forget if it's 1 or 2 exits but get off at the Fenway/Kenmore Sq. exit (this will be a fairly sharp right). Get in the middle lane, go through the lights to Kenmore Sq and go straight onto Brookline Ave. Fenway Park is one block down on the left....you'll see the crowds. Another option is when you exit you also can bear left (this is at the same exit) and take the flyover and get off on Boylston Street, then turn rt on Yawkey Way (where Fenway is). It's about equal, but I think the first one is more direct and easier to find. I'd say the 2nd might have a little less traffic, but if it's close to the game, both will be packed lol. Hope that helps...have fun! Others My son goes there alot. Maybe take Route 84?????? Awesome directions above. Be prepared for REALLY expensive parking in the immediate Fenway Park area. An alternative is to stay on Mass Pike (I 90) to the Prudential Exit. Exit on to Boylston St and follow all the Red Sox tees to Fenway (about a 15-20 minute walk). I think Parking is only $10 for ball games, but you gotta get out right after the game. Either way, have fun! |
