Travel Info
What age do children have to pay fares on National Rail?

Travel Tips
Children 0-4 are Free.
Ages 5-15 pay Childrens fare.
Age 16+ pay adult fare. However, I believe 16-19 year olds can get special cards to continue paying child fare if in fulltime education Source(s): http://www.nationalrail.co.uk

Other Travel Tips
Children travelling with a full paying adult only pay 拢1 for their fare after 09:30am. I always travel after this time to avoid paying full fare for my child!
