Where would you stay on the Sunshine Coast?

We are going on our hols to the Sunshine Coast with 4 adults and a 3 yr old. We want to stay in two , two bedroom appartments. Anyone got any suggestions of where is good? We don't want a room with a gap between the 2nd bedroom and living room as I have heard there are a few of those. We would also like a pool.

Travel Tips

Try the Outrigger Mooloolaba. Very central to everything, family friendly and the best views of the beach! They have a pool both indoors and outdoors which is great at this time of year. Have fun, maybe cya around the place here on the Coast!

I like Peregian or Marcus Beach. Near the beach. Not too touristy, but Noosa and Maroochydore are not far away (assuming you have a car) There are a few resorts north of Peregian towards Marcus, and in Marcus, that are pretty good. I'm sorry - I can't remember names. Sunshine Beach is a bit closer to Noosa, but seems to be a bit more touristy - I have never stayed there. Noosa reminds me of Double Bay. This is not a compliment.

I have also recently had really good service from LJ Hooker in Peregian for a holiday house (not apartment, but they have apartments on their books)

Gold Coast is the best place to go in Queensland, you can still do reef tours from there, surf, theme parks, lots of shopping and cafes and restaurants, its all there, Noosa is very expensive and anything up north including noosa is not very good for swimming as it has stingers and croc's plus there is not much else to do there, go to this site for all the information you need.
