I have a childs current passport. i am now 20..do i need to replace the childs passport with an adult passport |
Travel Info i am travelling to usa in september and need to know the correct answer. i will be 21 in october Travel Tips No u dont as long as it has 6mth left on it u will be fine, cause I got my passport when I was 17 and its a childs passport, it does not matter as I have been overseas including the USA on this passport since being 18. The expire date is the date that is written in the passport thats the only time u need to get a new one. Others I thonk you do because of the photo part i wouls think so call anywhere who does paaports though but im very sure you do. Yes. Passport needs to be as current and up to date as possible to prevent problems during entry. most likely..if its a child's passport and you're 20 then it is probably expired and you won't be able to enter the country with an expired passport. YES As long as you have at least 6 months validity left on your passport from the time you expect to leave the US it will be fine. Your passport would have been issued for 5 years instead of the usual 10 years for adults - this is the only difference between a child passport and an adult passport. http://www.visalogic.net |
