Travelling to Australia in July have a camper van for a week from brisbane to cairns? |
Travel Info What are the best places to stay for surfing, diving and snorkling, Would like to know any good camp sites for camper van. thanks Travel Tips I've done the same journey. My top spots were: 1. Fraser Island 2. Noosa 3. Airlie Beach (then on a boat on the whitsunday coast) 4. Port Douglas (from here you can do the reef) 5. Cape Tribulation Wow you lucky thing! You will need more than a week to do all these things though! My favourite would be Port Douglas and the reef. Unmissable! Others A week's not long enough! You'll want to stay there forever ... Sometimes there's a lot of home comers trying to sell their vans before they fly back. You can haggle them down a fair bit because they're usually desperate to sell. You need it more than a week! Its a big country! Anyway, please please please dont miss cape tribulation. Its about an hour or two up from cairns. If you have to leave the camper at Cairns then you can get a bus up their. Stay at Cape Trib Beach huts - where the rainforest meets the reef. It is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful spots I have ever seen, and the atmoshpere is brilliant there. Im so jealous! Can I come? |
